Positions Available:

Network/Telecom Engineer 

The Network/Telecom Engineer will have corporate-wide responsibility for all Data, Voice, Satellite & Wireless. The Network/Telecom Engineer will be responsible for the planning, development, installation, maintenance and management of all network/telecom hardware and software resources. The Network/Telecom Engineer is responsible for ensuring all communication infrastructures are supported and available through our 24/7 business environment; including over hundreds of servers and desktops throughout South Texas. This position is responsible for working with the Dispatch department on any scheduling of technicians to go on-site for various projects. This position is based out of our Corpus Christi, Texas office. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Design and oversee the implementation of standard, highly reliable and available local area networks at customer locations. Provide a robust 24/7 availablility for voice and data network infrastructure services.
Manage the service of all new tickets including the ordering, contracting, scheduling and deployment of all network services (IP Voice and Data) in a timely fashion.
Plan, manage and implement projects for network re-engineering and technological solutions expansion.
Review and approve all network/telecom project plans prior to implementation.
Manage the testing, maintenance and upgrades of all networking and telephone equipment, services and circuits.
Development of and monitoring of service level agreements for network and phone systems. Responsible for taking pre-emptive steps so that service availability and/or reliability does not fall below acceptable levels.
Interface with service providers to improve services.
Manage all networking/telecom equipment and devices (i.e. firewalls, routers, switches, filters, phone switches, equipment, etc.)
Working with management to advise, recommend, enforce, and review technological standards and solutions in order to implement new networking strategies, as required.
Responsible for budgeting, capacity planning, network and contract management related to the Network/Telecom department.
Responsible for centralized and decentralized Network/Telecom data center operations.
Responsible for ensuring network and telecom will support company wide applications (i.e. electronic mail, ARA applications, file sharing, mobile devices, etc.) 

Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/IS, or equivelent 8 years of IT experience. Management experience preferred but not required.
Highly skilled in installing, management, and maintenance of hardware (i.e. TCP/IP networking, gateways, servers, bridges, routers), software components (i.e. gateways, LAN manager, network operating systems) and Microsoft products.
Experience with VPN, VoIP, Firewalls, PBX, etc.
Experience with networking (LAN and WAN) and telephony communications as well as video conferencing.
Excellent project management skills with ability to prioritize and work in a high stress work environment.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, preferably with management experience.
Ability to translate business needs into IT strategy.
Experience with contract negotiations with telephony vendors (data, voice and video).
Strong verbal and written skills with ability to present and influence customers and vendors.
Holds staff, contractors, and vendors to high standards.
Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
Ability to analyze, understand and effectively communicate deep technical material.
Experience setting up and managing IT solutions to Service Level Agreements.
Able to travel, as job requires. 

Certification is strongly preferred in the following areas:
VMWARE
CCNA
MSP
Net+
Linux+

Job Description:
    Troubleshoots/diagnosis service and equipment issues on site and remotely. 
    Prepares for telephone system installations by reviewing installation orders; gathering equipment,   supplies, and tools. 
    Plans installations by evaluating location; locating access; laying-out equipment and wiring plan. 
    Verifies system functioning by testing equipment and connections, identifying and correcting problems.     Maintains records by documenting installation, service, and repairs. 
    Maintains customer rapport by resolving concerns and answering questions.

Required Skills: 
    CERTIFICATION on Inter-Tel/Mitel equipment and installation 
    Comfortable with Technical Troubleshooting 
    Experience in telephone, business and residential cabling. 
    2+ years LAN & VOIP skills 
    Assertive yet patient customer service approach

Required Experience: 
    3+ years telecommunications experience 
    Be able to lift 50 lbs and climb 28 foot ladders. 
    Be a great communicator, both verbally and written. 
    Have a valid driver's license.

 Experienced Security Surveillance Manager


Absolute Communications and Network Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking a full time experienced Security Surveillance Installer / Technician to join our team in Corpus Christi, TX.

Job Description: 
    Perform installation, programming, configuration, testing, trouble-shooting, maintenance and  inspections of commercial and residential electronic security (access control) and surveillance devices/equipment (CCTV). 
    Provide support as needed for other low-voltage data and voice projects 
    Troubleshoots/diagnosis service and equipment issues on site and remotely. 
    Plans installations by evaluating location; locating access; laying-out equipment and wiring plan. 
    Prepares for surveillance system installations by reviewing installation orders; gathering equipment, supplies, and tools. 
    Maintains customer rapport by resolving concerns and answering questions. 
    MUST be able to work independently and adhere to installation schedule times. 
    Work closely with management to maintain good customer relations.
    Consult with management on any issues/concerns. 
    Must be able to work occasionally after hours, and some weekends.

Required Skills: 
    Possess or has had a state of Texas Security License for 3 + years
    Comfortable with Technical Troubleshooting

    Company truck provided, must be able to drive a standard transmission.

    Minimum of 3 years experience installing and servicing electronic security (access control) and surveillance devices/equipment (CCTV).
   Minimum of 1 year performing equipment troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance for electronic security (access control) and surveillance devices/equipment (CCTV). 
    Be able to lift 50 lbs and climb 28 foot ladders. 
    Excellent organizational skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
